ICBC Rehab Program - Downtown Vancouver
The PAARCC program is unique to our clinic. The owner, Mark Bentz, designed this program specifically for clients with motor-vehicle related injuries after he went through his own recovery following two separate accidents. Throughout his experience, Mark realized very quickly that while a multidisciplinary approach to MVA-related injuries was imperative in recovery, there was no therapist in charge of his rehabilitation.
This resulted in many appointments with a variety of therapists, leaving him confused about which actions to take to help his recovery. Mark knew that there needed to be a better, more efficient method of therapy and rehab. So, in 2019, he invented the PAARC Protocol.

Our Approach
The PAARC program is a rehabilitation program consisting of Physiotherapy, Active rehab, Acupuncture, Registered massage therapy, Chiropractic care and Counselling. But, what really sets the PAARC program apart is that we match you with a Rehabilitation Team leader, who becomes your go-to throughout every phase of your recovery.
Our administrative team also supports you every step of the way: they handle all your claims and bill directly to ICBC, so you really are in the best hands! And the numbers speak for themselves: since this program has been implemented, we have had a huge amount of clients calling to switch over to our clinic to get started.
What Can I Expect From My Session?
Our PAARC program is made up of three phases of rehabilitation. Before your first appointment, our administrative team takes care of all your paperwork, while your rehab team reviews your initial intake form. Your first appointment will be with your Team Lead — a kinesiologist. He or she will be the head of your rehab program and will be your main contact throughout your journey.
From there, our kinesiologist assesses you and depending on your needs, connects you with either a physiotherapist, registered massage therapist, chiropractor, or acupuncturist. At this point, you now have a ‘core team’ of two therapists – your kinesiologist and the other therapist. As you progress through our phases of your recovery, we will add or subtract additional therapies, depending on your needs. During the entire recovery process, your team meets twice a week to discuss your progress and treatments.
Once you approach the last phase of our program, you will begin active rehabilitation. This is an exercise program that is designed by your kinesiologist, who will be working closely with you to make sure that your body is adjusting. Phase 3 is designed to get you ready to resume an active and healthy life — it is important to remember that setbacks can be a normal aspect of recovery and we are here to support you and get you back on track.
Our administrative team and kinesiologist will also be handling all the administrative aspects of your recovery. They liaise with ICBC and handle the paperwork and billing, so that you can focus on getting better fast!
