Our Practitioners
Our Approach
Motor vehicle accidents can cause a tremendous amount of damage to your body; concussions, whiplash, spinal pain and injury, inflammation, and soft-tissue damage are all common side effects of car accidents. Because of the complex nature of these conditions, our physiotherapists use a multidisciplinary approach to treatment, which yields the best outcome for our clients.
That is why our PAARCC program combines physiotherapy, active rehab, acupuncture, massage therapy, chiropractic care, and counselling. Overseen by a kinesiologist, we design, implement, and support you through a 3-month recovery program. All of these treatments are covered under ICBC and come at no cost to you, and because we are part of Electra Health, these treatments are easily accessible at our clinic location.
What Can I Expect From My Session?
You are immediately matched with a kinesiologist at the outset of the program. Your kinesiologist will be your go-to throughout your rehabilitation: they lead a team of specialized therapists, who design, implement, and move you through a personalized rehabilitation program.
During your initial visit, your kinesiologist will thoroughly assess you to understand the scope of your injuries. Because motor-vehicle accidents are often accompanied by whiplash and concussion symptoms, your kinesiologist will ensure your room is quiet and comfortable, so that you can relax. Based on this assessment, the kinesiologist will design, implement, and monitor a personalized rehabilitation program for you.
Alongside physiotherapy, your kinesiology can recommend other types of therapies, such as chiropractic care, massage therapy, acupuncture, and counselling. As part of Electra Health, getting access to any of these treatments is easy – we are all located under one roof! And because we bill to ICBC directly, our administrative team will handle all of your billing – so you don’t have to pay out of pocket for any of your treatments.
The entire program is designed over a three-month period with weekly appointments to support your recovery. Once you approach the last phase of our program, you will begin active rehabilitation – a necessary component for your recovery. This is an exercise program developed by your kinesiologist, which will get you back on track to resuming your daily activities
