Active Rehab - Downtown Vancouver
Vancouver Physiotherapy Hub provides downtown Vancouver with over 20 years of experience in the therapeutic world. Our practitioners are highly experienced in a wide variety of different treatments and techniques, such as IMS, pelvic floor physiotherapy, vestibular physiotherapy ICBC physiotherapy and more.
One thing that our practitioners know is just how traumatic and difficult car accidents can be on individuals. That is why we also provide active rehabilitation. Active rehab is a form of treatment that involves movement and exercise as a treatment for injury. Performed by one of our kinesiologists, active rehab is not only about treating injuries that have occurred, but also preventing them from reoccurring in the future.

Our Approach
What makes active rehab so unique at Vancouver Physiotherapy Hub is that your active rehab will be part of a larger, integrated program that is unique to our ICBC clients. This program – known as the PAARCC program – is a personalized recovery program for individuals who have been injured in a car accident and it’s covered entirely by ICBC!
In addition, Vancouver Physiotherapy Hub operates alongside Electra Health, which means that you can receive all the treatments you need in one convenient location.
What Can I Expect From My Session?
At your first appointment, you will meet with your kinesiologist. A kinesiologist is an expert in the anatomy, movement and biomechanics of the human body. In addition, as exercise physiologists, they are highly trained in the way exercise affects your body. During your session, your kinesiologist will perform a full assessment of your injuries and issues, as well as take a detailed health history.
From there, your kinesiologist will design and implement an exercise program to help you get back to optimal movement and you will work one-on-one with them in our clinic gym. In addition, your kinesiologist will also be the Rehabilitation Team leader of your individualized ICBC PAARCC program. Alongside your physiotherapist, they will design, implement and support you through this 3-month long program – covered entirely by ICBC – to help get you back to feeling your best.
As we are part of Electra Health, your kinesiologist and physiotherapist may refer you to other modalities, such as chiropractic, acupuncture, counselling and massage therapy – all of which are also covered by ICBC. That way, you can continue all of your care in the convenience of one location!
